Biography:

Thilaka Piyaseeli Meththananda, Professor in History, (cadre) had her primary and secondary education at Holy Cross College Gampaha before completing an honours degree in History at the University of Peradeniya.  She subsequently obtained her D.Phil from the University of Oxford UK.  She has spent one of her sabbaticals in the UK as Commonwealth Research fellow.
